Most often, people want to connect several radiators to one thermostat because they have a larger room with several radiators, or an open living area where the living room and dining area are one big area. One thermostat controls both radiators, works well when you heat one larger room. Please note, however, that you should not connect more than one radiator from different rooms to one thermostat, because the temperature of both rooms would be determined by the temperature of the location of the thermostat, which is not ideal. This would negate the benefits of creating the zoned heating that electric heating is known for. With zone heating, each room is heated independently, which maximizes individual comfort and minimizes electricity bills. So how do you connect multiple radiators to one thermostat?

IMPORTANT: The number of heaters that can be connected to one thermostat depends on the size of the circuit and the wiring
The number of heaters that can be safely connected to one thermostat depends on the size of the circuit breaker in the electrical box, the type of wiring used and the power of each individual heater. Generally, 240V circuits are recommended for connecting multiple heaters to a single thermostat because 240V operates at a lower amperage. A 240-volt circuit operating on a 20-amp double-pole breaker can have any combination of heaters up to 3,840 watts. For example, using only one thermostat, you can install:
IMPORTANT: If you use a single thermostat, you must connect the radiators in parallel, not in series. If you feel uncomfortable working with electricity, hire an electrician.
All radiators must be connected in parallel. You can do this by connecting each radiator directly to the thermostat, or by connecting each radiator to the next – just make sure each radiator is connected to the source wires. See wiring diagram above.
